Water (sea) is the main element of the settlement. It is a bearer of shaping, a substance with which the organization and identity of the settlement is built and defines the lifestyles and habits of future residents. It is the very core, the essence of the new settlement.<\/p>

The shape of the port and its coasts refers to the traditional coastal urbanisms and cities created around natural ports.<\/p>

The contour of the coastline itself, the dimensioning of the water area as well as the depth of the sea bottom, result from the characteristics of the vessels, which are expected within the port, as well as their navigational requirements.<\/p>
